Why we're here...

Beer culture is coming of age. At any store, restaurant, bar, or friend's house you can now find at least a few good brews. In fact, there seem to be so many new beers, breweries and bars it's difficult to separate the good, the bad, and the mediocre.

If you're going spend $10 on one beer, what should you buy? If you're going to drive 2 hours to check out a brewery, what's worth your time? If you're going to plan a Friday night, what has a good selection and friendly atmosphere? We're here to help you answer these questions.

Upcoming Event: Napa's Blues, Brews and BBQ

From the Events Page...

What: Napa's Blues, Brews and BBQ
Where: Downtown Napa
When: This Saturday August 27 from 1pm - 6pm

Free admission.

"Blues, Brews & BBQ has all the elements one would expect – three musical stages, twenty micro-brewed beers, and lots of BBQ.  The Napa Valley twist to the event is the inclusion of The Bounty Hunter Rib Eatin’ Contest, when local winemakers will go mano-y-mano in an attempt to claim rib eatin’ glory.

Ten top Napa Valley Winemakers will sit down elbow to elbow, and at the sound of the starter’s gun, will devour as many ribs as they can in a limited time. Winners will receive awards and bragging rights for the year. The Bounty Hunter Rib Eatin’ Contest will start at 3PM in the Dwight Murray Plaza in Downtown Napa.

Event sponsors Blue Moon Brewery lead the charge bringing you the Backyard Beer Garden, which will include some that beer drinkers don’t normally get to taste, including twofrom Blue Moon, as well as twenty others.  Tastes of all beers will be available for purchase.

The three stages will present a variety of great music. Look for Tip of the Top and Andy Santana on the Main Stage. As to Barbeque?  We're talkin' ribs, chicken, oysters, corn, pork – just about anything that can be grilled - will be avialable.   Sponsored by Blue Moon Brewery, Wells Fargo Bank, Team Superstores in Vallejo, Kaiser Permanente The Bounty Hunter Wine Bar and Smokin’ BBQ, and the Napa Downtown Association."
